This iced coffee recipe will leave you with the most delicious, naturally sweet coffee you’ve ever had. I know it sounds weird, but trust me on this! The combination of banana and black coffee pair to make a drink with the perfect amount of sweetness while still maintaining the coffee’s natural taste. And, it’s only three simple ingredients!
What you need:
- A banana – this can be fresh or frozen depending on whether or not you plan on adding ice. However, if you want to freeze you own bananas, read this post to learn how to freeze your bananas.
- Ice – you will only need ice if you are using a fresh banana.
- Coffee – you can use instant coffee, a fresh brewed pot, or even a shot of espresso. The coffee should also be gold or room temperature.
Some people prefer a sweeter, creamier coffee while other prefer to taste more of the coffee’s bitter taste. There are even ways you can tweak the recipe depending on what you’re looking for.
Here’s some small changes you can make:
- Add a splash of milk or coffee creamer – if you’re someone who prefers a thicker, creamer coffee, then this would be a good choice for you. It won’t mess up the consistency of you’re coffee at all, everything will still mix and combine but now be more delicious!
- Add a sprinkle of sugar – This is good if you’re someone who likes their coffee a bit sweeter. The sugar will still dissolve and combine without making your coffee grainy.
The Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of iced coffee
- 1 fresh or frozen banana (ideally frozen)
- 1/2 cup of ice (if the banana is not frozen)
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients into a blender or nutribullet (I prefer the nutribullet). Allow the mixture to blend until all the ice chunks or frozen banana is blended and well combined.
