As some of you may know, I’m a women who recently got into the gym and fell in love with weight training.

I can easily say, without a doubt that weight training has changed my life and my relationship with fitness. In weight training, I found a form of exercise that I genuinely love and makes me feel strong and empowered.

The reasons that I fell in love with lifting weights are more personal to me and might not be the same for you. But, here are some of the reasons why you and every other women should give weight training a try.

Many women are under the impression that lifting weights will make them look “too manly”. If you’re in this boat, don’t worry, I thought this at first too. I thought I’d get too big and bulky by lifting weights but really this isn’t true at all.

Getting big and muscular requires a lot of dedication, intention, and intensity when you are training. Some people train so hard to look big and still don’t even get there.

What I’m saying is this won’t happen to you unintentionally, it takes many, many years and many hours in the gym to look too bulky. So, don’t let this fear be what holds you back.
