How To Enjoy Everyday, Make the Most of Your Life and Enjoy Everyday

It is more common than we think where many of us find ourselves stuck in a cycle of dreading each day. We become stuck in jobs we don’t like, stressed out, and have no time for ourselves. Why is it that so many of us have become okay with living this way?

I don’t know about you, but this is not how I want to live. I want financial freedom, time for myself, and happiness. I want to wake up being excited for the day, not excited for when I get to go to bed next. For myself, I have began taking steps to hopefully end this cycle and bring myself closer to living the happy and free life I desire.

Here are some of the things I am doing to help myself:

  1. Start a side hustle

This is to hopefully help myself avoid being stuck in a job I really do not enjoy in the future. I’m not saying that having a job is bad and you can’t be happy and successful this way. But what I am saying is that when I envision my happiest self, I see myself being financially free.

So, in order to move closer to this goal, I try to find sources of income that I can do on the side and for myself. And, oftentimes I find myself to enjoy doing these.

2. Meditate and Journal

Meditating and journaling have helped me to clear my mind and really visualize what it is I want to achieve in my life. Having purpose actually makes people happy, so when we can visualize ourselves having a purpose and something to strive for, this will automatically bring us happiness.

In addition to that, this helps me to focus on all the things that I should be grateful for at this time in my life. It’s easy to become so caught up in everything we don’t have that we really forget what we do have and how lucky we are.

So, in slowing down and really diving into my thoughts I can make way for some appreciation for my current life.

3. Take a break from social media

I actually find that I am way happier when I limit my use of social media or stop using it completely. Sure, at times it provides a distraction and temporary boost of serotonin, but you don’t want it to get to the point where it distracts you from your own life.

It can be extremely beneficial to take some time away from any social media and clear your mind from comparisons and distortions of your own reality.

4. Spend time outdoors

Spending time outdoors is one of the most peaceful parts of my day. Even if it’s just a few minutes I find that I can really slow down and take in the moment when I am surrounded by nature.

All of these activities have helped to leave me feeling successful and excited about what my life can bring in the future.
